In the day view in OS 5 you could advance to the next day by using the spacebar. This behavior is not the default in OS 6; you now have to roll the ball/pad left or right just a small amount. I find it very tricky though to get it to take - I end up trying four times before getting it.
Any way to get the spacebar behavior?
