If this has been covered, forgive me. I'm fairly new to the BB world, but I'm loving it so far. I've started to listen to every podcast from CB starting w/ the first and going all the way through to #8. I've heard Kevin and Craig talk about this new OS 4.5.
I'm wondering, is it available yet? What's the main difference between that OS and OS 4.3.0.97 (the one on my device...8130 Verizon)?
......Yeah, covered a lot, you should search first. People are running many beta versions, nothing is actually released yet. Looks like next month lekely for release as the current release still has some bugs.

sorry sunkast. the first thing i did was type in "4.5" in the "search forums" section. it came up with 0 results. i knew there were probably tons of posts about it, but it was late (for me) so i decided to throw the question out there. like i said, i'm a newbie, that was my 1st ever post on this site.
im a newbie also what exactly is n "os" and what does it do?
OS stands for Operating System. It's the version of the system that runs your Blackberry. Like Windows 2000 and XP are operating systems for your computer. Windows 2000 and XP both run or operate your computer, but XP was an upgrade to the previous OS. Vista is an upgraded OS to XP. We're waiting for the official BB 4.5 OS. Hope this helps.
