Haha it wasn't my intention to surprise! But thanks. it's a subtle phone. I mean maybe people will notice. But most will say "oh just another BlackBerry "

Thanks. I needed some retail therapy. Not going to lie it felt great. I kind of wish that it actually did happen around Christmas time. Haha

How do you like using the old OS? Is it enough? I'm looking at a 9930 in white it's sexy. I debating between that and get q10. I have a Z30 but need a backup up phones. The 9930 is brand new they are asking $150 the q10 will run about $250 used. Help I'm confused.

It all depends on what you are looking for, I use the Z10, Z30,Bold 9900 and the 5S daily. The 9900 is a great communication device, if you use it as a secondary device or even a primary device for emails etc it's great, it's not BlackBerry 10 but it's not bad at all.

How does the device switching work with your sim cards and account with your carrier? As far as I know I can only have one device activated on my one phone number.

    Posted via CB10
Works fine, I'm on AT&T, just take the sim out of one of the BB10 devices and slip it into the 9900...sim card is smaller, but centering it in the sim card reader works.

I sold my Bold 9900 and missed it dearly. Well, recently I went back to my 9700 and 9780 from my Q10 and I have to say that the experience was OLD GOLD. Totally love every bit of those old devices that runs OS6. I also had a 7290 kept in storage when I was rummaging through my stuff. I stuck my SIM in and fired up the device.. Oh my!

I had to say the experience of typing on the ancient 7290 is like punching texts out of a rock!

So definitely, you're not the only one missing those legacy devices. Now I would consider reserving them as spares

I tried my old 9900 and while I can appreciate the looks, I prefer my BlackBerry Z10 in every way.

Perhaps I am out of practice but regardless I can actually type faster on my new phone.

I went back to my Torch 9800 (OS6) for almost two months after I smashed my Z10 screen. Some things to like, but now that I'm back on the Z10, no way would I want to retreat again, especially the slow 3G and lamea$$ browser. OTOH, maybe it would be less painful w/ a Porsche.

Now that I'm going through with this I realize it's a bit foolish. But I have to use my phone constantly all day on the road for work. I want to look at something sexy. As for battery pulls I did have those from time to time. But you know what? My Q10 would randomly restart and the double typing issue, sms messages freezing! I want looks and performance!

So I got my p'9981 phone today and it was defective. The "alt" key is broken. It stay on continuously. The default language is German and I can't switch it. This brand new right out of the box. I'm completely heartbroken. Now dealing with returns to Amazon and the third party seller. I am beyond frustrated after waiting for 2 weeks for it to ship. I called BlackBerry support and they said it's a "lemon". Just my luck. Ha. Man...anyway I'm off the Q10 and using an iphone as my main phone until I get the replacement Porsche.

So i finally got my replacement device. And let me just say it is gorgeous. It feels premium in the hand. I setup my gmail calendar contacts on P'9981 and it was a bit tricky. Apparently google has tightened up the security for gmail accounts. I had to do an unlock gmail account. Now Im using the iphone 5s and the bb porsche and i love it. 2 phones and i have the best of both worlds. I can't think of any other way nowadays. Iphone has its amazing apps and blackberry has their messaging and keyboards. I think i will be doing the dual phone thing for a while. Only 9 left in stock: switch back to BB7?-bb-cradle.jpg

its been 24 hours and already im deeply satisfied with my purchase something about the bold series of blackberries just feels right the keyboard is amazing it feels much better to use than my Q10 but im loving it as for my iphone only really using it for a few apps seriously this phone handles 99 percent of my needs

and as for the porsche phones if theyre all like the P'9981 then great it stands out it feels premium. i cannot recommend it enough. and i feel lucky. i checked amazon and only 2 of the P'9981 left in stock! haha. glad i didn't wait.
