Looks like I'm getting emails in HTML format now! I'm running 4.5.0.44 on my AT&T 8310. I finally got service books to send from device and the very next email that came in had images and real links in it! I am so excited! Now I am going to have to test it for myself! Way too exciting for a Sunday morning! LOL!

I knew about the upgrade to the BIS, but was waiting all morning to see if anything really changed. I was just shocked to see that it had actually worked! I sent myself 3 mails from one account to another just to see if they came through in HTML format and all 3 did! Looks amazing!

Now if only youtube would work! LOL!

So, does this mean those of us receiving html emails can send them too? Where do I find the options for font, color, and backgrounds?

I don't think you can change font, color and backgrounds for outgoing email. I saw no options for any of that. I just see incoming mail in HTML format and the subject on my outgoing is now bold.

For starters, I think you need to be running 4.5 OS on your BB. If you are and aren't getting emails in HTML, try resending your service books.

PERSONAL EMAIL SETUP > SERVICE BOOKS > SEND SERVICE BOOKS

Read the forum rules, links and requests for links to unofficial software are not permitted. Just use Google, that's what it's for.

First you would need to download and update Desktop Manager to 4.5.
Then you would have to find, download and update your device to 4.5.
There are threads that can help you do everything, but you're going to have to find the device software on your own as links to betas are not allowed.

I have an AT&T curve 8310 with 4.5.0.37 and the only way to get the html to show images is to hit the menu key and choose "show images." It then warns me about showing my address to a 3rd party or something like that. I hit ok, then it shows the images. I checked my settings and the "show images automatically" is checked as "yes". Anyone got any Ideas?
