I've just replaced a four year old worn out Pearl 8110 with a NOS 8110 I managed to track down on the internet. Why? because I like old skool BB. Is anyone else hanging on to their old skool device( pre BBOS 7)? Do you still grin when that old skool giant red led blinks? If so post your device type and OS version. Pearl and Pearl flip users especially welcome!

I do sometimes miss old devices(9900, 9800, 9700, 9000). Mostly due to hardware. I hated doing all the battery pulls + lack of basic apps

Still have a 9650 and a 9930 around. The Z30 is first BB10 phone that takes me back to the feeling I had with the 9930 - the "you'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands" feeling. I have a Q10 and a Z10 but the Z30 is the best.

I also fondly remember my little Pearl Flip - loved that phone too! Looking at the exterior window, seeing all the little message icons, opening it, answering everything and then closing it up and putting it into my pocket. Can't really tuck the Z30 away like the Flip but can't have it both ways: foldable and big screen. The Flip doesn't get mentioned much but I really liked it. Even bought a few off eBay to switch out with the 9930 just for fun.

I have a few contacts that still rock 8800's, Pearl and early Curve devices( 8300's) and scour the net for spares to keep them going for the old skool experience

I have all of my old school devices and all of them still function. As few have stated, I do not miss the battery pulls, although out of force of habit, I find myself pulling the battery on my Z10, just because I can!

I remember my first BlackBerry having a scroll wheel on the side, then on to the trackball, then the trackpad, now BlackBerry 10. I probably miss my 9650 Bold the most if I had to pick.
