Why can't BlackBerry release official beta to users interested in leaks. The beta can come with no warranty as leaks do and issues can be discussed in forums like CB.

Because I don't think BlackBerry wants to show other companies what they are working on.

BlackBerry isnt leaking these, it is usually carrier partners that leak the OS that is in testing.

The OP has a point though, I mean there is Beta Zone which until very recently only had BlackBerry offerings but is now open to 3rd party beta testing apps.

The issue I would say mainly is Carrier customisations which is why some say it is always best to upgrade OTA to ensure full compatibility with your carrier, I don't buy that personally but that's the trend that seems to be set whether you have an iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Phone.
Tablets are the same also where the update is pushed through the Tablet manufacturer. Phone updates are pushed through the carrier.

I guess there could be options but likewise I also believe that BlackBerry do not want people to see what they are working on and particularly where phones are concerned where you have a contract for example your carrier supports that contract so if the software adversely affects your contract by sucking up huge amounts of data due to an unfinished OS then it's very difficult to regulate.

There should still be something on an 'install at your own risk basis' and if beta's are available it would surely open the door. say maybe not a beta from OS 10.2 to 10.3 but for example betas from within branches like 10.2.1 - 10.2.2 etc. No beta for 10.3 then once 10.3 is officially released we have the beta process of 10.3.1 etc.

It wont happen but we can all think on it I guess

Exactly my point. We can test minor up dates or bug fixes, but not anything not suitable for release. This, in a way would also tackle interest in leaks and anger over carrier not releasing updates. Even though carrier does not release updates, one can use betas.
