Just found a free app that plays a number of NPR stations. It is called Nobex Radio Companion.

While looking for an app I was visting the "Michigan Radio" NPR site and they have Android and BlackBerry devices confused. They are suggesting that BlackBerry owners download a Android app to stream their programming. www dot michiganradio dot org/blackberry.html

While that did not work of course, the Nobex app did!
