    Hi,
I'm trying to set up notification lights for text messages (and others like Whatsapp, etc), but can't seem to know where to go.
    Any help?
Also, what is difference btwn 'blink light' and 'notification dot'?

Notifications are typically set from within each app. See the WhatsApp setting screen below. Note an entry for choosing (LED) Light.

Notification Dot is the little splat that appears on the home-screen icon.

    Thanks for the reply.

My 'light' is set to white too, yet, when I get a Whatsapp message there is no white light flashing. Isn't that what's supposed to happen?

Also, re: notification dot - I'm not sure I understand. Can you re-word?

    Thanks!

Yes, that's what's supposed to happen. I have mine set to green - and it does precisely that.
Notification dot is that little red spark or star that appears on the app icon on your home screen or app drawer.

Yes, thanks - whatsapp is doing the white light.

I can't seem to get Messages (texting) or Facebook messenger to give me a blinking light option with colours - is this possible? Not seeing options for it anywhere ...

For messages, open the app > select Settings from the top right menu > Notifications > there is a Blink Light toggle, is that one turned on?
If you wish to customize the color, you could use a LED customization app, or use a different SMS app (I use Textra) that has the option for different colors.
I suspect for Facebook it would be similar process.

No option for blink light toggle here... (see attached)

    I'll check out Textra thanks!

There are many apps that simply don't acknowledge the LED, since most android phones don't have one. Facebook is one of them.

For those, you need a third party app that will activate the LED and assign a color for it.

That was my messaging/texting app that came with HUB, not Facebook.

But O-well ... I'll do some looking around, thanks again!

Is it possible to change its colour notification from blue to something else?

Not without using a third party notifications manager app. I think Light Manager might be one - there's plenty on Google Play.
