And seriously, this device looks so cool and has no WiFi? Come on, that is a serious flaw in my opinion looking at it from a European perspective.

From now on, all of SuperBlings posts will look like this to me: BLAH BLAH BLAH 100% BLAH BLAH.......BLAH.
perhaps if there ever is a 9520 it could have wifi... but even the verizon details outed today do not say wifi.
No offense bud but before you talk *#&#* go take a breather off this site for more then 1 minute..... Device is not out yet and when I'll show you my storm with WIFI when I get it you'll eat those words.
Funny how people talk crap when this device has not even been released.
Ok, so everyone is saying it doesn't have WiFi because kevin byrne listed the specs and he said no WiFi? If that's the case, he also said the camera didn't have a flash when we clearly saw from some pictures that it does. So the WiFi thing could possibly(probably a very small possibility)be wrong also. I say we hold up on the bashing until it's either officially announced it doesn't have WiFi or when we can find out for ourselves once it's released.
Exactly.......
I hope I eat my words...just that signs are pointing to no.
I am telling you that 1 of the storms versions does have WIFI, only makes sense for all the storms to be the same but you never know!
are all of the rest of the blackberry models the same? (8100/8120/8130 for example) im not saying your wrong, just sayin...
oh, but I thought that in the original post/title, you told us that the 9530 would 100% have wi-fi? hm. I must have misread. You must have meant to title this thread "No WIFI on 1 of the storms versions? - WRONG".
Also, AT&T has released an iPhone - Storm comparison sheet. It states that the iPhone has wi-fi, and the 9530 does not. I'd take an official ATT internal document pretty seriously. And Kevin Byrne.
It also says the Storm doesn't have multi-touch and that the iPhone is better because it has GPS and html email
Lol, an internal document? Like AT&T employees need convincing that their product is better. Theres a little thing in the business world we like to call "marketing" and "smear campaign."
I don't think that AT&T document is a good reference. It says the Storm doesn't have multitouch, HTML email, GPS, maps, ability to sync iTunes, an app store, and HSDPA. We know the Storm covers all these bases. Just about the only thing AT&T seems to have right is that the Storm doesn't have WiFi and that's still yet to be proven in writing from Verizon or RIM.
would wifi be nice so that we can have an uninterrupted signal regardless of where we are
yes
would it be nice to have air time free web use
yes
does this equate to the best business plan for verizon
we will see when the phone comes out!
wrong... regardless of where we are?
What a Blanket Statement! Well I'm 100% sure, with my life, Remember me! ONE of RIM's future Devices WILL HAVE BRICKBREAKER!
That's a far cry from your OP!
You guy`s will think Im crazy but I`m bringing this back up to tell you..... THIS HAS WIFI, I double confirmed this with some friends at RIM.
Anyway, you will praise me when you all realize I`m right. So people worrying about WIFI do not, IT HAS IT!

Man are you serious with this all over again? Is this some kind of joke? You confirmed with "no friends at RIM"?
Your going to eat your words.
:confused: You did what? You mean confirmed with friends at RIM?
I hope your right, Super_Bling. I'm rooting for you cause if you win here, we all win.
sorry but verizon will make a liar out of you the phone will have it but verizon (like all other neat toys they take from us) will disable it sorry
Holy crap. For the 1000th time, Verizon doesn't disable WiFi. There are currently two phones from Verizon that have WiFi. The Samsung i760 and the HTC XV6800. ALL, I repeat ALL CDMA Blackberries do not have WiFi. There has never been one. It is RIM's decision to not include WiFi, Verizon may have asked for it not to be included to keep costs down, or just to emphasize the vast EVDO Rev.A coverage of the network. The ONLY thing Verizon disables on Blackberries is GPS, that's it. They want you to use VZNavigator. They don't sell phones that are hardware compatible with WiFi but are software disabled. Your claim is ignorant and ill-informed. Learn your information before you choose to speak again.
It's quite evident. The slides from RIM show that it doesn't need WiFi because of the extreme EVDO Rev.A coverage. One of the slides emphasized the point that the Storm doesn't need to be latched onto WiFi hotspots for highspeed browsing.
