Just this week my Bold 9000 stopped showing the icon that I have SMS messages. I have not added any new apps to phone or changed the theme. I have done several battery pulls but it still does not show. I've also checked the options folder "Home Screen" and the grid layout is default. Anything else I can do to get this back to working? Do you have your SMS/MMS set to be separate from your other messages in the Messages options?

I agree above that you should check your settings to see if you have set to combined or seperate.

Or.... Did you by chance change themes or download a 3rd party mail app or any new programs? You should try to backtrack and remember if anything from the norm happened prior to this. Or if all else fails you could try to restore from a recent backup.
