How do I get rid of the existing IT policy so that I don't need a password for the Torch? Everytime I go into the Password menu the "locked" symbol can not be changed.

Is this a work device provided by your company? If so you should be prepared to speak with management if you remove the IT policy and have a really good reason for doing so. If it is not a work provided device I say go for it.

I agree with MobileMadness, If you are using a work issued phone, dont touch the IT policy unless you feel like preparing your resume.

And if it is a BES connection, the connection cannot be re-established without the IT policy being imposed again.
