[CrackBerry Question]

This morning when I changed my phone from silent mode to normal mode ...after some time I noticed that I had received messages but not heard any audible ringtone. My normal profile includes both vibrate as well as ringtones (some of which are personalized depending on the type of message and/or sender). All day, no audible sounds...just a vibrate as incoming messages or phone calls arrive. On the screen when an incoming call arrives I see the speaker has a line thru it. Nothing I do seems to make the ringtones audible. I tested to see if music would play...only can I hear my music through my ear buds plugged into the ear phone jack. I've had this Classic for over a year and this is the first time this has happened. Help?

First try a hard reboot of device..... hold the power button or both volume rockers down until the device boot logo reappears.

Thought you might have but one never knows for sure.

If settings have been confirmed and a reset hasn't corrected device, back it up and reload OS with Link.

Do you have any apps such as Power Tools or bQuiet installed? Check them first... :-D

@prem watsapp no, I do not (as far as I know ) The factory reset did NOT fix the problem. Sigh!

Have you tried BBVE in order to troubleshoot your audio? If a reload didn't correct the issue it could be hardware related.
