When I click my trackball, it is not using the enter key anymore... It is using the QW key! This just happened recently. Does anyone know how that may have gotten set. It happened when I was in Mexico and I am back in the US now.

    Thanks

How long have you had the phone? Where did you get the phone? Did you get the phone wet/damp?

In all likelihood, your phone is defective and will need to be replaced.

Keyboard mapping errors can often be cleared by pulling the battery with the phone on, leaving it out for a few seconds, and putting it back. After the phone reboots, see if your problem is gone.

Pearl has two letters per keypad button. Qwerty keyboard starts with QW

Battey pull should fix most keypad mapping issues.

I liked the pearl ok, but I need the full keypad.

JHill3206... Yes, the QW is the key with QW on it.

Berry me with it and JEFFH,

Thanks for the response... tried that and didn't work...

SunKast... It was in my room the whole time in Mexico, but it may have water damage... Rooms were very humid. This phone was bought off e-Bay. Everything worked great before I went down and I've had the phone for about 2 months. It definitely is a key mapping issue though.

Do you think that backing up the phone, then resetting everything back to factory settings would work??

    Thanks

You can try that, but sunkast is likely correct. Since a battery pull didn't solve the problem, you're probably going to have to replace the phone.
