Just got a BB 8310 curve. Running it basically as a personal device from home. NO BES, or exchange server, so just installed redirector to pull e-mails off my pop3 acct with my ISP and send them on to me. My PC is well set up and succeeds in killing 98% of spam (cloudmark spament), but as I gather is well known, this doesn't seem to help with the BB spam problem. I added a processmaildelay to the registry, but no luck as this only seems to work for BES.

So.... should I have gone with BIS in the first place? Is it a better solution than redirector? If so is the gmail solution still the best way forward? It seems a rather clumsy work-around?

    Is Mail Connect any different?

    Thanks for any help

Best thing is to have a GMail account setup in BIS. It seems to catch 90% of spam, i.e. it's not sent to your BlackBerry, but kept in the Spam folder on your GMail account...

I guess the comment above seems to be the prevailing view. Does nobody have a good word to say about Redirector? What's wrong with it?
