first off, i wasnt sure where to post this, so i picked this thread.

What does the BB curve run off, does it use a lynix type, or a specific blackberry running op?

Secondly, i downloaded Opera Mini, b/c i read it was one of the best browsers to get full internet capabilities. Now when installing it, it ends up giving me this error "Failed to connect to the Internet" now my BB browser works perfect and everything else does to, so is there a setting that i'm missing or what?

    i appreciate the help!

Welcome to crackberry!!! I'll let one of the experts here help to set up your opera. I know that you have to allow it permissions in the settings. I had no trouble setting it up on mine.

    Welcome to CB!

You need to enter your carriers APN settings onto the device for opera mini.

kyle, welcome to The Crack! Search the forums here. These questions have been answered several times over, and you'll learn a bunch! I'm not on T-mo, so I've never had to deal with it, but I do know it's a popular question.

Your APN settings under advanced need to be wap.voicestream.com.
    Leave user and password blank.

i know that when i run my opera mini, some sort of security question about a certificate or something always pops up. if you select no, the browser will not work. so just always select yes if this ever comes up for you, and the browser will work just fine n dandy.

Is that for BIS? Because I just installed opera mini on my 8800 and I never had to enter any APN #. The only thing it asked me was if I would allow opera mini to connect on a low network connection.

The APN thing only applies if you are on T-Mobile as far as I know.
