Woke this morning with a new icon for an application on my BB Curve 5330 with Sprint. The icon/app is titled "Wireless Update" when I highlight it.

When I click on it I get the following text:
The wireless update process consists of three steps: requesting the new software, downloading the software, and the updating the software on your BlackBerry device.
Is this a RIM or Sprint automatically added application? Or is it a spyware, malware, Trojan, or virus application. I am hesitant to click on NEXT to see what happens.

Just wanted to check with the community first.

    Thanks,
    jaybirdvette

There are no viruses on BlackBerry. That was pushed by your carrier.

Correct, there is no known documented virus for the Blackberry...

That is for future use. Updates, when available, will be DL'd OTA. Vzw has had this for a few months but there have been NO new official updates that they will approve for DL. Sprint seems to put many more updates out for their customers.

I just got this icon for the third time, anyway to make it stop appearing? I download the "updated version" and then I get it the next day.... why?!
