Since the new Sony stand alone cameras that can be attached to the back of the device and send pix through wifi or nfc and I am excited to grab one for myself. Since Blackberry is becoming to be compatible with everything Android. Can I know wether a Q10 is compatible with the 2 Sony cameras?

Good question, I'll ask our Android Central Editor. The app itself needed works, so pretty sure it's not really a problem.

Yes please! Would love to have the Sony lens attached to my Z30! I've asked this question a number of times and never got an answer. Wonder if Chen had any previous relationship with Sony and get them to step up BlackBerry support?

It's an Android app, so I guess it's possible. Only one way to find out. ...

OTOH, that app was so horrible, you're almost better off just shooting free-standing then transferring the pics over.

That's my point. Can't I just have pics and then transfer them through nfc or bluetooth? Am fine with the blackberry cam editor... unless the app has something extra to offer

I was just looking into this and from what I found, the app may work on the phone, but the camera requires wifi direct to function properly with the phone.
I'm not sure if this works or if NFC can be the alternative here.

I just noticed on the futureshop website that they indicate that an NFC connection allows for full controls from the device to the phone.

From what i'm seeing yes, but I haven't tried it to confirm.

In THEORY it should work, again theory. Proceed with caution and if so could you report your findings.
I've also learned that the app Camera 360 has updated to function with these lenses, so if you would like options that could be your backup.

NFC just initiates a BT or wifi connection. Shouldn't be an issue due to NFC.
