i have 8110 and thinking of getting 8310 (with Att). I have upgraded my os from 4 to 5. My question is are the new os the same? Do the new os for each one have the same capabilities?

Each version of the OS (ie 4.5.0.55) look and work the same, but each model has a specific OS that will only work for that model. In other words, a Curve and a Pearl would would both look the same with 4.5.0.55, etc but the files you would need to download in order to install the OS on each model would be different. I hope that makes sense!

I think they are. I know some capabilities were added from 4.2.2.x to 4.5.0.x like a video recorder, but the different OS's for 4.5.0.x all seem to be an attempt to make the berry more stable and work better.

Also on 4.5 there's documents to go, OTA update when available, full HTML emails and a few others.
