I'm not sure if I'm the only person to discover this, but one of the biggest long standing problems with the BlackBerry 10 hub is no more.

One of the earliest issues with the hub was the inability to quickly move from one message to the next in one gesture, swipe, or button press. Basically a "next, next, next" function to move from one message to the next instead of lots of button presses and swipes. Many people complained, especially early reviewers, and only till the Q10 did anyone have a hot key to press "N" or "P" to move from message after message quickly.

I'm happy to let everyone know that this is solved! If you're reading a message and want to move to the next one, simply start swiping to the right as if to close the message, but then swipe up (previous) or down (next). The next message appears automatically. It's like the peek gesture hook motion, but within the hub. Brilliant.

I'm using 10.1 v4543, and don't know whether this appeared earlier. If I'm just posting something that is already well known my apologies. I haven't seen anyone comment on this in the forums yet so I think a lot of people don't know about it..?

Time to get the word out!

I'd tried doing what you found and it doesn't work for me. Is there a setting that you have to change. I'm running 10.2.

I didn't change any settings that I know of. I haven't tried 10.2 but would hope the feature remains intact. It might take a couple tries. It gets easy after practice. It can even be done in slow motion, with a nice flick at the end.

Nice tip, doesn't seem to work for text messages though.

I think it would be very useful if it jumped to an unread message

Niiice. Takes a bit of practice but once you get it, it's pretty cool. It also works in grouped messages by thread to go from one email to the next withing a subject.

Great tip! I'm running 10.1.0.2062 and don't seen to have this feature, so I'm assuming it was added in the .4xxx builds.

I just discovered this myself. Previously I noticed I did it accidentally and thought it was a bug. But just a bit ago I figured it out. Pretty cool. I'm on 10.1.0.4651.

This works well but only for one message at a time. BlackBerry needs to make it work smoother for skipping more because right now you can only move two msgs up or down at most, should be scrollable.

There is. On your email or text account or whatever. Touch and hold date that is visible in small txt on top of list. A menu pops up and last little icon is to mark all previous as read
I believe you can do that by date to mark all precious as read or just hold down today's date and them mark all as read. Simple

I've been doing op instructions. It works. You can actually swipe right slowly and when you see available emails you can slowly go up and down with finger and visible see emails being selected highlighted up and down then release finger on highlighted email you want to open

Thanks for kind support, however this is not what I have in mind. This is marking ALL unread emails, but I want to only mark emails inside of one thread.

This is sick; Although, I can not get this to work! Must be a 10.2 thing.

Also guessing that bringing up the Z keyboard and using (N)ext and (P)revious would work as well on 10.2?
