Is "not" suppost to be "now" as if it is how it is written it does sound good for RIM.... Otherwise not so much....
Yeah I fixed it :o)
Good News....
Yes we need more companys too do this!!
Great news. Tools not toys :p
Is "supost" supposed to be "supposed" :)
Any rate it all helps.
Tweet this to the RIM big guys quick! If they need something to prove that BB's are tools, this is one example
Spread the word! :)
As a police officer, I read this article and think, "holy cow, now they can get calls late at all hours of the night night about loud music and residents being loud by the pool at the apartment complex." We have some neighborhood police officers at our department and citizens treat them as if they have a personal police officer on call 24/7. Oy.
But to see a company hop on board with RIM is awesome. I'm all for BBs being company phones. :)
Agreed, why are they trying to break the dispatch efficiency?
Resident Tom likes calling Officer Jane, who is off-duty four miles away, so Resident Tom doesn't realize that Officer Jim is three hundred yards away. Which will lead to dispatch not knowing which officers are on a call, which idle, or officers needing to take the citizen's call, prioritize it, log it with dispatch, manage their own queue...
I think having a BB is a good choice. I've only had mine for about a month but the call quality and reception is awesome and I think that would be important to the police.
I work as a tech for. Comcast and were supposed to be getting ipads and iphones in the coming months.
I tries to sway them but the apps they can develop for ios just can't be touched.
I understand the tools not toys campaign but with the right apps any phone can be a tool.
Ill have the best of both worlds. Ill have my personal 9900 and then ill also have an iphone and ipad from the company.
