Hello to all you CrackBerry members. I am a first time BlackBerry user. I have one of the new 8830. I have a question that I hope one of you can help me with. Despite the fact that I've changed the General setting to keep my messages "forever" my 8830 erases all my texts messages automatically. Last night I went to bed I had text messages. Well when I woke up they were all gone. My text messages are important to me and I want to keep them. Can you help me? Oh and I also have a 4gb card in my new 8830 as well. Guys I need help.

When this happens, check your device memory (options / status). This use to happen on the early release of that device, and the Curve. I'd probably suggest installing the lastest OS. If that device has been sitting on a shelf somewhere, it probably has an old OS. Check it: options / about...
