    Hi,

I have just got a BlackBerry Curve 8310 off a friend.

I have set up the device using 02email.co.uk and I am receiving emails from my g-mail account without any problems.

    But I have a question.....

The last owner's email address is still showing on my BlackBerry main screen.

I have been told I need to delete the service books off the phone. I know I have to go to "Options>Advanced Options>Service Books" but what exactly do I need to delete?

Is it just the 4 addresses in his name or other files too?

    Thanks
    S.

Each email address has 2 service books , CICAL and CMIME, just delete those for each email address in their name.

If you like everything else about the device just delete his e-mail accounts.

    Thanks! Worked a treat.

One more thing, th device was locked to T-Mobile but now unlocked, there is a service book called "MMS Client - T-Mobile Picture Message"

The Record Type is set to "active" worth deleting that too?

    Thanks
    S.

As long as you have the WAP MMS transport one for o2 it should be safe to delete it maybe. It is probably just left behind from its days on T Mobile.

Resending your service books from o2email.co.uk may wipe it anyway.

I've been getting text messages through fine.

There are 2 mentions of MMS in the service books.

    1. MMS Client [MMS]

    2. MMS Client - T Mobile picture Message

No mention of o2 MMS though.

    Any ideas?
