Are you sure about this? I am going to Lebanon next week. Do you have names of shops?! And is the phone a REAL BlackBerry Bold Touch or is it some with 3sim cards, TV tuner and a radio?

    Hey man,

I'm in Lebanon now. Could you tell me where exactly the new bold is being sold? Also, would you say 500 dollars is a normal price for new blackberry models?

    Thanks in advance.

Do they purposefully release new devices to foreign countries to let them work the bugs out before US release. It would make sense to let enough of them out into the field for a true test of their performance. This way someone else is paying for the testing and giving immediate feedback before the US carriers get them out.

Lmao...after all the hate they've been getting here...its a big **** you North Americans. Release them where the market is right now is a great strategy. Consumers here are a little more reliant to stick with blackberry. But internationally they are killing it. Lol. Serves us right!

*Edit....I guess I should have looked at that Kijiji link BEFORE commenting hahahaha.

I passed by the blackberry phone store (don't know if it's actually owned by RIM) and two Class stores. None of them had it.

One told me it would release on the 28th of July, another said in about a month, and the third didn't know. However, they all told me the price would be around 700-800 dollars.

I knew it was too good to be true.

    That's the full retail price.
    It's cheaper on contract.

They don't have contracts in Lebanon.

I'm just pointing out that it isn't already out and it doesn't cost 500 dollars.

I would guess about $70 more each, but I have no clue (just guessing).
