Got these messages on my Bold 9000 never seen them before on any BB before. Also notice the compass in the browser.
Any ideas on what this is?

The compass are probably browser messages but you would really need to as the theme designer what they actually are.
BTW what theme is that?
Everything looks normal in your first image. Top row shows new Group message, new e-mail, new BBM, and new Facebook messages. Same with the actual message list (even showing separate SMS messages).
I haven't seen the compass before, but either that is something coming from the theme, or from an app you have installed. Possibly a navigation or map app? Otherwise, I would assume it is a browser update message of some sort.
I've never been pushed "device settings" and the compass was never there. Just really curious as to what they are. I'm using Android Bold by Ecruz
