I was needing to get another blackberry. My blackberry curve 8330 is beat up and i would like to upgrade.i would like to get everbodys thoughts on which berry would be good to upgrade to.i am on VZ.By the way does anybody know how AT&T keeps getting all the new phones when they come out????Sure wish the new torch could have come to VZ.
if you're happy with the Curve I'd suggest the 8530<but if you just wanna get up to date and spent the same amount of money go for the 9700>> you can get a used one on craigslist as low as 125.00

9700 won't work on vzw. The Bold 9650 is the CDMA (Verizon/Sprint) version of the 9700. The 9650 has double the memory of the 9700 though. That would be my choice if I were in your position.

I would definitely go for a 9650 - it's supposed to get OS 6.
Theres pro's and cons to each of the 4 BB's on Verizon heres them:
Curve 8530 (what I have)-Its not glitchy, has good battery life, but won't get BB6
Tour (idk model #)- Small Track ball, glitchy, bad battery life (friend has)
Storm 2-Touch screen, I don't recommend.
Bold 9650-Same as the curve for the most part, with some feel/look differences.
You're two main choices are the bold and curve, if money isn't tight then get the bold, b/c its more than 100 dollars more, however it will be getting OS6 which is a good advantage. If you're on a budget get the curve, ik from personal experience that its a great reliable phone with good battery life and little to no glitches.
9650 is the way to go! Unless you want a touch screen, then you want a 9550, OR if you are willing to change carriers, BETTER option touch would be the brand new 9800 Torch (coming 8/12 to ATT).
