Just got my Bold and want to IM with my Yahoo friends. I do not have a data plan but I have unlimited sms and mms. Looking for the best/cheapest all around instant messenger software that uses sms and mms to pass info between phones not data. Any suggestions, IM+ maybe? I think Beejive uses data. Newbie and not sure. Thanks in advance
I have a Curve and absolutely love BeeJive. I heard that it eats up battery life on the Bold, however. On my BeeJive, it uses data, but it also can function with Wi-Fi Only networks... so if you live under Wi-Fi, you can take advantage of FREE instant messaging. Otherwise, BeeJive does not use SMS or MMS to IM. Also, BeeJive costs $20-$30, but they do offer a 30 day trial, as well
