BlackBerry Maps is not that bad. It's a bit behind against Apple Maps and specially Google Maps, but it's still good enough to get you from A to B.

I use BlackBerry Maps all the time, but if Google Maps goes native for BB10, I would unhesitatingly replace it.

Correct me if I am wrong, BlackBerry map need to be downloaded for update, the off line map can avoid all of the roaming charges if you out of the town. Yes. I got same problem as the op. Sticker shock. Well, good thing does not come cheap I guess. It is still cheap compare to the roaming charges.

The biggest hassle I have with BlackBerry Maps is that it detects every "tunnel" in the I-75/85 connector through Atlanta. All I care about are the road names, not underpasses - that's information that I don't want or need.

Bring BlackBerry Traffic to BB10!!!

BlackBerry maps is a disaster, don't let anyone fool you on that. However, you can easily side load Google Maps as I've done. Once 10.2.1 releases, you'll have access to a lot more android mapping apps. Additionally, there are a number of bb10 native apps that source Google maps too. Some free, most cost a buck or two.

BlackBerry maps is fantastic, I use it all thee time and I have no issues at all, the voice turn by turn navigation is perfect. Perhaps the probles you are having is based on the user
