I finally figured out that when I sent text messages and I use an "@" symbol, the person sees an "" instead. They see an upside down exclamation point.

Whenever I text people my email address "[email protected]", they receive "xyzmail.com." Even if I use the symbol to designate a time like "@4PM," they see it as "4PM."

What's going on? It is annoying because I always forget this exchange of characters happens when composing texts.

    I have a BlackBerry 9650 Sprint-branded on AT&T with OS 6.0 bundle 3049.

Not that I am aware. Even when I text my own phone number, the outgoing shows a @-symbol but the incoming shows "" ...Annoying!
