Java. Go to BB's website and find the SDK. That should provide some insight.
These days most mobile apps are either written in Java for one of the major platforms such as Symbian Series 60, UIQ as well as some of the proprietary ones. For Windows Mobile, the apps tend to be written in .NET though it can support Java apps through a JVM. Lastly there are the proprietary OS's with the flash interfaces such as LG Viewty and LG Prada.
