my phone tapes me!!??
every once and awhile i will go through my media and look at my recordings. without me even knowing my blackberry curve from verizon tapes my conversations and saves them?? how do i get rid of this, its taking up memory and really kinda creepy?
-
are you hitting some kind of side button maybe within your conversation that is set to the voice recorder/voice notes?
you can just delete them from the media folder to get rid of them.
-
no i have one programmed for the camera and the other is nothing...and i have a case that covers all the other keys... im not really worried about the memory i guess but now im just listening to all the clips and its creepy, it like recorded my whole day...lol
-
That would be Big Brother. Get out the tin foil hats... ;)
-
I prefer armadillo helmets!
-
o ya here come the helmets..im going through all the recordings and one of them is from the other night where i was out to eat.. i remember having my phone out on the table but the screen was at the homescreen and it taped the whole dinner convo...lol
i'm due for an upgrade anyway..maybe i'll go buy the new curve or bold from verizon, now which one to buy...Hmmm.. ideas??
-
Sounds like a problem with the phone or some setting that turns on that you didn't set, and there is no Bold on Verizon so you're probably looking at a Curve or Tour.
-
I'm gonna guess that you have the voice notes recorder on the home screen, and you started it unintentionally. You might want to move it to a folder, or hide it.
-
ah ha sry i ment curve or tour?
-
still makes you wonder lol
-
I'm pretty sure if you investigated the Event Log you would find out at least when if not what made it start recording.
-
it started recording when "they" told it to, silly =P

sounds like a spying significant other at work.

Sounds crazy b/c these devices have a mind of their own!!!
