The Pearl is a best of both worlds smartphone - but at a compromise.
SureType works great for a predictive text system, but it can never replace a full QWERTY. It's fine for text messaging and the odd email here and there, but I couldn't imagine using it as a dedicated business smartphone (that's what my 8703e is for
). And I do have to admit, the bigger screen is nicer and a little easier on the eyes - no one's gonna complain about more screen real estate.
Whether or not you can accept these compromises is your choice. With the Pearl and now the Kickstart, I think RIM will always have a phone for this particular market available. That's why is such a great thing we have so many awesome Blackberries to choose from - you can't go wrong with any of them.08-07-08 08:17 PM
