    Ok this is weird -

This morning I did a soft reset on my Curve. When it finished rebooting I got the standard memory card error message, which surprised me since I've been using this card for a couple of months without an issue. After playing around with it for a bit (battery pull, etc.), I decided to back up all the files and reformat the card.

But when I tried to back up the files, I got a windows error. A little more research showed that all of the music in one album/folder had been corrupted. I was listening to that album Saturday night before bed, and I haven't listened to anything since then. As far as I know, I didn't do anything unusual that night either.

So...does anyone have a wild guess what happened?

P.S. I've already fixed the problem. I just want to prevent it from happening again.

It's a store bulk brand from Micro Center. That may be part of the problem.

Likely, only time I've had issues like that was when I got cheap cards. PNY for me, but SanDisk and Kingston are also really good.
