I have been unable to get my 8830 to pair with my headset, which I know works having used it with a Motorola V710.
I went through the "Bluetooth Setup" on the menu page, and after a period of time while the 8830 was searching, as indicated by the blue progress bar, nothing was recognized!?!
Maybe I have to uninstall it from the older phone? Is this headset to old (~2005)? My Alltel 8830 seems to have the latest software when comparing with Blackberry.com. ???
Are you getting the 820 into pairing mode by holding the button until the light comes on steady? Once it comes on steady, do the search from the phone.
Yes, but, after numerous attempts I decided to try charging the unit again just in case it was an issue caused by a weak battery . . . and "wala!" it now works fine!
