I also set up Word Substitution
> Options > Typing and Language > Word Substitution
I Remove
HR = HOUR
br= (
I add
myhaddy = my Home address
mywaddy = my Work address
blackberry = BlackBerry
myemail (1-4) = my 4 primary email addresses
mycmky = my contactmonkey address
I also ad about 100 common Part numbers I email about by doing the 9900# the # being an indicator to use my autotext which gives a description,
For example I can type "I have a 9900", or if I type I have a 9900# it would say "I have a BlackBerry Bold 9900"
Some Word Substitutions to remember when typing
il = I'll ( I always want ill = I'll, just takes time to remember to drop the last L)
mypin = your BlackBerry PIN number
There's one shortcut that's missing in OS 6, and it pi$$es me off that it's gone. It's "F" for Profiles. Eliminating it was unnecessary and stupid. I mean: why??? And no, thanks, but I'm not interested in an app that will do it. I prefer to use native applications and features.
(Left bracket)color=red] in front of a word or sentence. Without the parenthesis
(Left bracket/color]) behind the word or sentence. Without the parenthesis.
You can change the color to blue, red, green etc. I have them loaded into Word Substitution.
If I post the real deal it just colors everything! And you get no example!

well the topic is about BB short cuts so i just assumed he ment on his BB for typing. that would be nice it we could do that on our BBs as well. Well guess we gotta wait for BB10 to do it. i say that due to the rich text editor on PBOS2 and that is the stepping stone for BB10, so one would assume that it would carry over

I think he was expanding on my post about setting up autotext short cuts
