Sorry if this is a repeat, but just wondering can someone explain why the 8520 on T-Mobile has the word CURVE on the back and the new 9700 has the word BOLD on the back but others like the Tour and the 8900 have nothing on the back of the phone? Is it statement to show that those phones are the next in line of the Curve/Bold devices and the others are just the offspring babies or what is it? Will the Storm 2 have STORM on the back of the phone?

I think it's just how the newest generation of devices are going to be designed. It wouldn't surprise me if the Storm 2 had the same design.

I wonder, as I saw someone postulate somewhere within these boards, if it has to do with RIM looking at their new BlackBerry models as being part of 3 distinct lines: Curve, Bold, and Storm. Perhaps just another way to differentiate the brand lines instead of lumping them all under the BlackBerry umbrella.

Or maybe I just read too much into interesting aesthetic choices.
