There is the paid version of Docs 2 Go I believe and you may want to google eoffice. I don't think there are any free versions that are totally like Microsoft Word, however these programs may be of help to you.

I just installed E Office on BB Curve 8350i and am impressed with it.
Can do what word does just smaller. It also lets you store unlimited docs / files on their site for easy access and the part I like most is I can remote access my PC from BB any where and retrive files. It also reads PDF files.
You can plug BB into PC and also move files onto BB but I try to not store too much ob BB if I can just log in PC from BB anywhere
Doc-to-go comes free with the OS 4.5 upgrade. I believe that if you save a BLANK doc on your computer and transfer to BB, you can edit and then do a SAVEAS....
