Lookin into buying one here in toronto, two options I have are the 2gb kingston or patriot....any opinions?
Also is it easy to get these guys working in the curve? plug and play?

Never heard of Patriot. It'll either work or it won't. I'd suggest you format either one as soon as you get it, in case it came from the factory with preinstalled malware. There's a blackberry 101 class on inserting the card. It's easy once you get the hang of it. But definitely do the tutorial. Operation is pretty much plug and play. Here are the settings:

Status/Options/Media Card
Media Card Support: On
Encryption Mode: your choice
Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: Prompt

Plug the BB into a USB port, answer Yes to the prompt, and the blackberry Media card will show up as a disk drive in My Computer. Then you can drag and drop.
