So the secondary Mic used for speaker phone in BBM and video recording is super weak and makes speaker phone useless unless you are making a cell call. The cell call speaker phone is great but on voip or video anything over 5ft is inaudible .
25 polite emails with BlackBerry help and they suggest returning it. It has to be a software issue? Try your key 2 and see of sound is low when making Vida or voip calls.

yep I am experiencing the same issue with my new key2. It has few issues that bothers me but not being able to video chat properly is a deal breaker for me no matter how much I love having a keyboard. Please fix it Blackberry!!!

Try enabling the "Phone" permission on all those apps giving you problems and see if that fixes it.
