when i go into media and click on pictures i always get a spinner until the menu with preloaded pictures and media comes up. then hen i go to click on media card to view my pictures i usually have to wait around another 5-10 minutes with a spinner for the thumbnails to load. then when i go to make a pic full screen it usually takes another 1-2 minutes for it to load with a spinner. all these spinners usually cause me to do a battery pull. this is a problem for me because i take alot of pictures with my blackberry (around 10-20) a day.at one time i had 400 pictures on my memory card if you need that info. i have a blackberry pearl 8100 on tmobile with a 2gb memory card in it. plz help me. thanks.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that is only a trick for the Curve. At any rate, 14MB of memoury is decent for a Pearl. You shouldn't be having problems if you are running that amount of free memoury.... What apps do you have running??
jive talk, viigo, circlepopper, google maps, pocket express, lingo, twinsbaseball.com, navizon, trooper typing, opera mini, flickr (when i browse to upload pics from my memory card in flickr i get the same freezing and issues that i get when browsing pics in the media app),and all the standard apps. i dont know what you mean by "What apps do you have running??" but hose are all the apps i have on bb.
Yeah if you had all those running, your phone would be dead....
Press ALT and the back key at the same time to view your running apps. If you have never done this before, chances are you have a ton of stuff running in the background, which will cause your phone to run VERY slowly.
it works now. how do i end a program thats running. i have phone,bb messenger, home screen, browser, options, media, jivetalk, messages, and viigo running.i do a battery pull alomost daily. the last one i did was about an hour ago.
Now. When you want to look at your running Apps. Like I said, hold ALT and the escape (back) key. When the window pops up, keep holding down the ALT key and you can use your trackball to scroll through the apps. To open an app, hover over it and let go of the ALT key. You can close it from there.
You can close everything but BBM, Messages, Browser, Homescreen, and Call Log. Those run all the time. Close out everything else and then do a batt pull.

thats a neat trick... as soon as it pops up after i hit it it goes to whatever app is next, is there any way to scroll through them?
