My BlackBerry 8310 has a media card that was installed by the AT&T store and it had been working fine. I had taken the card out to a Sam's Club to dump the pictures I had and to print them.

Upon re-inserting the card back in the phone (and I did it correctly), I keep getting a "Card is not formatted." Then, when I proceed to format it, the phone just hangs.

I followed the video on this site but the options menu still shows (at the bottom) "Media Card cannot be read. Please ensure that it is formatted."

What steps am I doing incorrectly? Thanks for your help.

Copy all the data to a computer.
Reformat the card on the computer.
Copy all the data back to the card.

If I had to guess, I'd suggest that the Sam's Club process either wrote something to the card or "conveniently" cleaned up after itself messing up your data. Did the Sam process have any prompts about "saving" or copying or whatever?

I'd be willing to be Sams scratched/damaged your card.
