Currently have an iPhone 5 after exchanging a Z10 in for it, however I remember why I went away from the iPhone in the first place. Having an influx of apps is nice but I just have a hard time typing on the device. Plus I just miss the overall BB experience. No, I may not be the primary target market but at the end of the day it shouldn't matter. Anyhow, it is just a matter of deciding on which device to go with buy the Z10 again or wait it out and see what the Q10 brings to the table? Either way I would have to buy the device outright.

My favourite device was the Bold 9900 with having both a touchscreen and a physical keyboard.

If your favorite device was the 9900 and you've given the Z10 a go already, I'd say wait it out and decide from there.

Yeah, that is what I am leaning towards. It is only a couple of more weeks until the Q10 is out. I just hope Bell will sell the device outright (in-store) come release day.

I'm sure they will. They've already got you locked into a contract so there's no logical reason for them not to

That is what I thought with Telus beforing switching to Bell. This is no word of a lie, but I called a couple of Telus stores and asked if I could buy the Z10 outright and they said "no."

Concur. That's my current device, and it's by far my favorite to date. It's very dependable, great battery life (unless in poor coverage areas), and it's an excellent phone (many smartphones are poor actual phones).

Ya but they already have him locked into a contract. It would simply be transferring the device. Most carriers were avoiding selling off contact in the beginning.

The Z10 is getting a bad rap from a few spoilers. The Z10 is a completely unique OS that is a fresh breath of air for the smartphone industry.

The Q10 is close enough. Sounds like you should wait for that.

Couple of things do concern me in regards to the Q10. I know it is suppose to be a different experience as opposed to the Bold 9900. I can't help but wonder how much I may miss the convenience key, the 4 buttons, and the track pad. Screen real estate isn't a deal breaker as I went from an iPhone 4 to Bold9900 couple of years ago.

The interface on blackberry 10 is so well done that the track pad is not really needed. You have to use it to see. But trust me it is very very slick.

How was your typing on the z10? If you were having no issues then I would say go back to the z10 because it will provide the best experience between the q10 and Iphone.

If you struggled on the touch screens then I would say the q10 all the way.

Typing on the Z10 was ok. I probably didn't give the device enough time to get the full experience. Anyhow, Bell is not getting the white Q10 anytime soon, plus I am a little worried about screen real estate. On a Z10, if the kids are acting up I can throw on Chasing Yello or something for them to play. On the Q10, playing the game would be still possible just not practical for children. Also the Z10 is a little cheaper.

Not saying I would advocate letting kids play with your smartphone but there are certain instances where you have to do what you have to do.
