I was using maxmem and lost suretype how do I get it back? Do I have to reload the os? And will a new os make my bb better?

Nothing in MaxMem is capable of deleting SureType.

If your defaut has changed to Multi-tap, it is simple to switch back.

Options / Languages. Highlight Input Language, press the trackball and select English Suretype. Save the changes.

tip: The Pearl dispay is too small to see the full title English (United States) SureType. It's the one on top.

Upgrades to v4.5xx are highly desirable. Check yours with Options / About.

I replied to your question about backup and MaxMem in the Memory Optimization Procedure thread.

Backup only recoreds your data and setting, not the applications that MaxMem is designed to remove.

Again, it is not possible to delete SureType, it is buried deep in the core code.

Well I lost it somehow and couldn't find it so I just updated the os and its back thanks for trying. I'm just learning some of this stuff. Took me forever to figure out how to put an os on my baby. First step in becoming more BlackBerry savvy I hope
