I did a quickpull on my curve 8330 last night and now all my pictures are gone. I tried pull up pics from media card and it does not allow me to do it.

Media card has videos on it, but no pics

    Any suggestions?

Try deleting your Thumbnail.dat file, as described in this thread. The thread was written to solve a different problem, but the steps may also solve your problem and won't hurt if they don't help.

IF you pull the card and put it into a computer, do you see the pictures?

Sorry to say it...but if the pix are gone, they're gone. There is software for windows and osx to recover lost media card files out there...vie tried almost everything, and no dice. Sorry bud...a hard lesson learnt here...backup, backup, backup!

ok..stupid question, but with blackberry desktop I always back up my device. Would that have backed up my pic's on the memory card?

Have you tried on the computer without the BB AKA a plain old fashioned card reader. If the BB doesn't see the file, I don't think using the BB as a card reader will find the files either. A separate card reader might.

Yes, definitely try it without BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Get a card reader if you don't have one.

And no, Desktop Manager does not backup the Media Card.

thanks for your reply.... what exactly is a card reader? i assume that it reads ur memory card on your computer?? is that something you buy from bestbuy etc?

Yes. It's an adapter into which you place your media card and connect directly to a computer typically via a USB port. You should be able to find them everywhere. Best Buy, WalMart, Target, probably even Walgreens and such.

Recovery Software for Memory Cards, Recovery Software USB Flash Drives, Recovery Software Hard Drives

It's called Rescue Pro. It's worth every penny as I have used it to recover photos from a card or two that has gone bad.
You do need to get a card reader, which can cost anywhere from 15-80.00.
The software is not cheap but the demo may help you out.
