Lost contacts, how to restore?

I updated an app and while it was reinstalling my BB froze. I did a hard reset and when everything came back up my contacts were gone. ALL OF THEM. I had my BB backed up on the DM my PC but when I went to go there the DM automatically updated to version 6.0. That version has nothing backed up from my BB. The old files are still on my computer however. I also backed up my BB on my Mac but for some reason the contacts weren't backed up on the Mac (DM for Mac sucks, btw).

How do I get my contacts back? Please help. Thank you very much in advance...
