    Hi,
I am still searching for a mobile with good qwerty keyboard and i think it would be preferable if it has similar keyboard to the curve 8320 or 8520. I did not like the keyboard of the bold 9700 because it does not have spaces between keys. For a moment i considered both 8320 but it can not upgrade to os 5 and the 8520 has a really cheap feeling. Can you suggest any BB or mobile.

EDIT: i think i am getting the 9650 but how good is the BB in terms of organizing I mean calendars and tasks that can be viewed on the homescreen and alerts.

    Thank you

8900? It has a quality build and can be upgraded to OS 5.

I'd recommend the 8900 too, the keys are the same as the 8520/8530. The trackball is easy to use, I haven't had problems with it.

Last thing is the 8900 outdated in anyway?

To get the best bang for your buck, go with the 8530. Its fairly new and has all the new features on modern BB models (wi-fi, gps, trackpad). 8900 is good, but fairly old, and has the trackball.

No, it's not outdated, it may not have the trackpad like some of the newer models, but it supports OS 5.0, has 256mb of memory (just like the 8520, and the 9700) has a high resolution screen (just like the 9700) and the 3.2mb autofocus camera. It's a fine device IMO, no reason to be hesitant to get it.
If you're talking about getting an 8320, I would advise against it. That is an outdated model.
Once BlackBerry 6 is released, there will be a new breed of BB, and the ones that aren't going to get the OS6 upgrade will then be deemed "outdated", however, there is nothing wrong with simply using OS 5.0 on the devices that are currently out. While OS6 will be nice, I'm quite satisfied with 5.0, and I'm not pining for the new OS.

Thank you all for your help. I now narrowed my search if I am getting bb. But I am still open for suggestions for other devices and it would be cool if it has led notifications.

Well the Droid has an LED, but it's not a very big one, and I don't think you can download any apps to customize the LED colors. Plus, if a nice physical keyboard is something you're looking for, the Droid probably wouldn't be the one for you, the keyboard on it is virtually useless, it's the worst physical keyboard I've ever used in my life.

What things are important to you for your next phone to have? What will you be doing the most with the device?

The Touch Pro 2 has an amazing keyboard which I think would be awesome if you wanted a Windows Mobile platform. Coupled with the availability of some cool ROMs it can be a sweet phone.

I tried the touch pro and I did not like windows mobile. I will be using my next for mainly texting emailing that is why keyboard and notification light important but the led is not that important and I think keyboard like the curves will be awsome. And I like the android os. So if all combined in one device it will be great but I am open to any suggestion. However a well spaced keyboard is a must for me.

Well you could try the Moto Cliq (not the Cliq XT), it's Android, and it has a fairly decent keyboard...

Honestly I'd give the 8900 a shot. If you're going to be doing mostly texting and e-mail it's probably going to be the best platform for you. Android is ok, but it leans more towards the multimedia side of the spectrum, I don't find that it's as efficient a platform for messaging as the BlackBerry platform.

The Tour is a great phone for me. I love the keyboard. I just didn't know what you liked. The Moto Droid isn't that great really from what I've heard for a physical keyboard. So it's really a matter of trying different phones in the store.

I liked the keyboard of the old tour but it has no wifi. Anyway I think the only two devices that meet my need are the 8900 and the mytouch 3g slide. Tell me your opinion I can not decide and please does someone know if the mytouch will have notification light and did anyone tried it.

The MyTouch does not have a notification light (I've never heard of the MyTouch 3G slide). The MyTouch operates alot like the Moto Droid, in the way that it is the Android Operating System as it is, no UI over the top of it (much like HTC Sense or Moto Blur).

**EDIT** Just looked up the MyTouch 3G Slide, doesn't look like it has a notification light. Runs the newest version of Android, but doesn't look like anything really spectacular, the keyboard doesn't look all that nice either... Just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. I added comment to the engadget review and asked about the notification light and someone replied that it has it but I am not sure. I think the keyboard will maybe feel good but not sure either.

Well, if you like the keyboard of the Tour, but didn't like that it didn't have wifi, then it looks like the 9650 is the device for you. If not, I think that you have just run out of bb choices. There are other devices that have good physical keyboards like the E71x or the HTC Snap, but I don't think that they are as good as the Tour or Bold keyboards.

The 9650 has the same keyboard as the bb 9700. Isn't this true??

No, the 9650 has the same keyboard as the Tour 9630, which is bigger than the keyboard on the 9700.

Then I should give it a try in a store but it did not show up yet in any. Did you try it yourself? If yes what do you think of the keyboard?

I have a Tour, and I'm very satisfied with the keyboard. Next to the 9000, I feel it's the best keyboard of any BB.

Yep, I echo that. Just bought a Bold 9650, and I came from a 7290 which has a monster keyboard with separate keys and the 9650 keyboard works great! Maybe if you have serious man hands, it might be an issue.
