I would have thought somebody with the name oversquared would know what foursquare is.

Does anybody know what it is?

    Haha.
Well after looking it up, it's some sort of Yelp type of site that recommends services that are local to the user location. Don't have any interest in such a service but if I did, I'd rather just use Yelp.

    They quoted wrongly.
    The original quote was
Still, using the new Foursquare instead of Yelp for the past few days has felt like upgrading from a BlackBerry Bold to an iPhone 5s
Which, obviously a phone from 2013 is better than a phone from 2008 (didn't say which bold, so i take the first in the line)

Not a "Fan" but don't like this add. I use foursquare but will find another app to replace it, Yelp or other, I don't really care.
I agree about to not take care about this add, but can't approve to use this app and add some information on it if they bash my favorite phone brand.
So Finally I will not take care of this app.

I don't agree that Techcrunch is to blame, they compare bold to I-phone 5. So Foursquare is to blame to not mention this point...

Sideloading? Why would anyone do that whe you can install directly from APK?

My point is it's NOT in a store it's NOT convenient or "blackberry friendly" But you knew that.

The Foursquare app for BlackBerry was pretty much rendered useless when the company split Foursquare into two apps. With the changes, the badges and mayorships all went away (As did the a lot of perks that often went along with checking in on Foursquare or being the mayor of a place on Foursquare.). I have Swarm sideloaded on my Passport (and had it sideloaded on my Z10), but haven't used it since upgrading to the Passport and haven't even logged in on the BB10 Foursquare app on my Passport. Without the badges and mayorships, it's just not as fun of an app. If I want to tell my friends where I'm at, I'll do it on Facebook...

So it became 2 square? 2 square for Mayor? ( rhyming election slogan?)

Too square for average BlackBerry user it would appear.

Has anyone sent this to BlackBerry? Maybe then they can stop forcing it down our throats on new devices and software updates.
