I have been using BlackBerry smart phones since 2004...I instantly fell in love with it and connected to everything BlackBerry!!! I'm an passionate technology nerd. BlackBerry is not an consumer company and that is why it is suffering deeply, security features, smart O.S system, battery life....frankly, BlackBerry was ahead of the competition ,it still is but the perception has changed and they stayed behind....

I really hope BlackBerry remains BlackBerry and survives the tornados from Apple, Samsung, Windows 8 etc etc, I would have to choose a different platform and smart phone painfully if BlackBerry is no more with us. I am a knight and loyal to BlackBerry till the end no matter what. Who is with me on this???

I too proclaim, "Long Live Blackberry" and having said that, I don't think BB is going anywhere! They will continue to sell great HW and OS and slice out a good portion of the market for themselves. They are currently stepping up the "paid marketing and promotions ads" and now this salvo of the "press release" style marketing is "FREE" which has already given the company a big boost in the eyes of the market, company, stockholders and the industry. It again places the brand right on the 6 o'clock news on every network all over the world. They have "reminded" the world of the brand with one masterful stroke!

I keep saying that although it doesn't seem like BB is marketing, they are! Not with Samsung's or Apples billion dollar advertising spending, but more strategically. Placing a little here, a little more there and mixing in the occasional "newsworthiness"! I love it! Strategic Markeing at it's best!

The best is yet to come! This party isn't over...it's about to get LIVE!

    Go BB!

Who in their right mind wants to see only the big three dominate the market? Long live Blackberry. But the lack of the mainstream apps remains an Albatross around Thor & Co's neck.

Yeah and so was DEC. Revolutionized the industry as we know it. Sold for a meager 9 bil. CEO Palmer, did not envision consumers wanting PC's in the home. Wow! Miss ed that one...huh?
