    Hi all

I'm using Suse Linux Entreprise Desktop 11. I hope I could backup/restore my Bold like I used to do on XP. Any advise on which software to load? I've checked blackberry portal. They don't have DM for Linux. :-(

You might want to give barry a try:
    netdirect . ca / software / packages / barry
    (remove the spaces)
I've used it to back up my curve, seems to work fairly well for backing up contacts, calendars, emails, pins and what not.

I am doing it OTA using Google Sync - It works great.

Blackberry <> Google Sync <> Google Calendar <> Mozilla Sunbird (or Thunderbird w/Lightning plugin)

Calendar and Contacts are at sync at all times, solves the platform issue - I also tried it using Sunbird on Windows - same effect, works.

As far as the media card is concerned - when I plug my BB in the USB, it is recognized as USB stick, so this requires no comment, I guess (Fedora 11)

You can either use "barrybackup" for simply backing up your device or create a Windoze VM!
