There were native Evernote and LinkedIn clients.

In fact, the Evernote app still works and integrates with Remember. It's just no longer developed be Evernote.

LinkedIn was developed by BlackBerry, but LinkedIn the company decided to stop supporting the app and changed the APIs to the point where the app became useless, and only a couple of months back, killed access altogether.

Also, Microsoft (LinkedIn owner) no longer develops an app for Windows Mobile.

Somehow, all those millions of people who were "thirsty for something different" failed to show up to any of those OSs in any significant numbers.
