Let's design a blackberry. I'll start by setting the form factor and dimensions.
    Form factor; landscape slider
    Dimensions; 120 x 62 x 12.5 mm
    Weight135 g

I have nothing against it. Nor do I think board members would mind video conference calls either.

Take an HTC EVO 4G and put a 9810 Torch slider style keyboard on it. Make it BBX10? with 4G, a Netflix, Angry Birds, Grooveshark and a Skype video app with front and rear facing cameras on it.

And then watch the people flock back to RIM.

Quit making the dang phones smaller! Some of us have big hands and actually want to do some work on the things. With a kickstand and bluetooth keyboard I might get rid of my Playbook with that much screen.

Also make an external micro SD slot so I can add movies, music, books etc, without having to partially disassemble the phone.

    Hmmm
MY Perfect BlackBerry Hardware would be

    Qualcomm MSM8960 28nm chip,
1GB of onboard RAM, and 8GB of app addressable storage
I'd like to see the device 119 x 64 x 11mm the shape would be similar to the 9900 (2mm narrower, 4mm taller, .5mm thicker)
The device would have a 3" Touch Screen with bezel gestures
The device would have the leather back of the 9000,
I would reduce the size of the trackpad by 1.5mm diagonally
I would have 3 LED's mounted with the speaker to have the speaker light up as the LED notifier, giving onboard LED control of BerryBuzz but with 3 LED's would give many options of notification
I'd use a 8MP/3MP RFC, FFC with LED back lighting and flash
    I'd like Li-Po 1800 mAh battery
I'd like BlueTooth 4.0 Smart Ready technology
and I'd like the Buttons of the 9630 over the buttons of the 9900 for the "trackpad Row"

I think that sums up what I would want quickly enough

I created a thread more about this http://forums.crackberry.com/general...months-683356/ and would like your input.

I think there needs to be three basic styles of handsets, keep things to a minimum. One OS (unified, like Apple, it WORKS) and media content.

    What do you all think?

I like the evo style the screen size is good. Add bb10 to it and the normal bb keys to it. The dual camera. Quad core. And 16 gb ram expandable with a 64gb micro sd chip. 4g is nice.

RUM, just make a Bold with BB10 and bigger screen, and to easy things a little bit, get rid of the trackpack, menubuttons and remove the logo to the bottom.

+1 on Flash, it's a must have!! And I think 96Ag added a external SD card slot, great point!! At least with the 9850/60 all you have to do is take the battery cover off. Side access to the card would be a plus!

Well the trackpad is useful so maybe put some kind of Lenovo Thinkpad style nipple in the middle of the keyboard? Like a little tiny one just for selecting text?

I will not buy a blackberry that doesn't have a call, end call, menu buttos and a trackpad. Those are more important then anything else.

This might sound crazy but I want a Torch 9810 with 4.0" screen and larger keyboard. And when the phone slide in a landscape mode a set gaming buttons come out, much like the Xperia Play. Which means sliding in portrait will give you the qwerty keyboard, sliding in landscape will give the game pad.

Everyone seems to be settling (well the majority) on the 9900 form factor. So why not just make it a dual core 1.5Ghz Exynos 4212 device with BB10, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard memory with an expansion slot for extra media memory? (supporting 64GB+ chips). Add in LTE support and increase the battery to 2000mAh and it should easily support that screen. Keep the rest of the look the same, but for the love of all that is holy make the camera autofocus. And would it kill ya to have it 8mp? lol I dont really care about FF, but if you want it, use the 5mp one from the 9900 on the front.

A Bold 9900, even faster and more RAM.
The BlackBerry logo can go to the bottom to leave more room for the screen. Smoother edges to look less like an iFone.

I'm not sold on the Flash, this new phone would be out in 9 months or so at the earliest, and at that point with Adobe not supporting mobile Flash, I'm not sure it would be optimized correctly for a new handset like this.

I would also want Bridging to be extended to a laptop, not just the PB. And the screen should be at least 4", preferably 4.2" or so, if I am going to do some serious work on the phone.
